Apps are dedicated software tools that help students in their inquiry learning tasks and help students to create hypotheses, design experiments, make predictions, formulate interpretations of the data, etc. Other learning apps present students, for example, with a quiz or allow students to view online teacher feedback. The apps can be combined with an Online Lab to create an Inquiry Learning Space (ILS). Learning Analytics apps give teachers an overview of students’ progress in the ILS.

This Padlet app allows students to use a Padlet Wall in an inquiry space. A Padlet wall is a collaborative whiteboard where students can write, add pictures and organise content easily.
This app allows students to upload files, e.g., assignment and reports, to the Inquiry learning Space. The app also allows teachers to download the uploaded files.
A Wiki app for students' collaborative editing work and discussions
This app offers a text area that can be edited by all users of a certain inquiry learning space or a profile owner. History of changes is saved and can be displayed.
Add a social discussion in your class! SpeakUp allows you to create a chat room, which can be anonymous. Once inside, users can interact in it by writing and rating messages. It is also possible to create multiple-choice questions to poll the audience.
Bringing ssh and terminal access to the web browser is a high requirement for accessing remote machines. Web-based SSH makes it possible to access SSH servers through web clients that are based on JavaScript/Ajax or JavaScript/WebSockets technologies.
