Lab description and primary aims of the lab: 

The Segway a two-wheeled, self-balancing individual electric vehicle. This virtual lab aims at showing the importance of the digital control system, which is a computer embedded in the Segway and analyzing continuously the position and orientation of this innovative vehicle and acting on the wheels to keep it standing. As a matter of fact, the Segway is an inverted pendulum intrinsically unstable (like modern supersonic airplanes), which means it will fall without proper digital aid for the driver. Thank to this aid, the driver can concentrate on the driving, while the controller handles the equilibrium. The primary aims of the lab are: Introduce control system theory and practice in higher education.
