The collaborative text editor app allows students to work on a formatted text. There are three options. First, students work on their own and just create a text for themselves. Second, students are working in groups, as defined by the Collaboration tool. Third, the text is edited by the whole class. In this case all students in the class can contribute to the text. For the group and class option only one student at a time can edit the content and the other students can see the editing in real-time.

If learning analytics is enabled, the teacher and the students can see the history development of the text. If just a short text is required using the input box is also an option.
