Apps are dedicated software tools that help students in their inquiry learning tasks and help students to create hypotheses, design experiments, make predictions, formulate interpretations of the data, etc. Other learning apps present students, for example, with a quiz or allow students to view online teacher feedback. The apps can be combined with an Online Lab to create an Inquiry Learning Space (ILS). Learning Analytics apps give teachers an overview of students’ progress in the ILS.
A simple note taking app for the students. This app automatically saves the notes for each student separately.
With the quiz tool teachers can create quizzes containing multiple choice, multiple select, open answer, slider for numerical values, tabular, and two-way (yes/no) questions. The questions, possible answers and feedback to the student can be edited interactively in the configuration.
The teacher feedback app enables teachers to provide feedback to their students. This can be achieved by opening the link of the standalone user (available in the members section at the authoring view), proceed to the phase where this app has been located, and enter the comments in box
With Quest, teachers can create questionnaires and surveys. You can use Likert scales, multiple choice questions, or open answers as question types. Smileys and images can be included in questions, and the teacher can get an overview of all submitted responses.
The viewer displays the content of another app in the ILS. It prevents the student from having to go back and forth between different phases, in order to consult an earlier result.
This application allows the automatic generation of basic user interfaces to access remote labs, which implement the Smart Device Specifications (https://github.com/go-lab/smart-device).
A normal calculator, which is showing the entered formula and its result, instead of only showing the last value.
