Description
A fraction represents a part of a whole or, more generally, any number of equal parts. When spoken in everyday English, a fraction describes how many parts of a certain size there are, for example, one-half, eight-fifths, three-quarters, etc.
The word fraction is derived from the Latin word "fractio" which means 'to break'. In Mathematics, fractions are represented as a numerical value, representing the parts of a whole. A fraction can be a portion or section, or say a segment or fragment, of any quantity out of a whole, where, the whole can be any number, a specific value, or a thing.
This course includes some small modules and a simulation activity for better understanding of the concepts of FRACTIONS.
There's a fine line between numerator and denominator, but only a fraction of people understand that! :D
