Description

This lesson focuses on concepts related to the density of materials and specifically on how the density of solid objects can be calculated. Students try to solve a heist by figuring out a way to distinguish a gold bar from the ‘non’ gold bar. During the lesson, students will learn how to calculate the density of objects by watching a video and by calculating the density of objects they find around. They will then formulate conclusions regarding the characteristic density of materials and create an operational definition of density.

The activity was created within the Digi-Science project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (2020-1-EE01-KA226-SCH-093387).
