Description

Here is an analogy: Whenever you want to create a sentence, you'll need an alphabet. In Chemistry, If you want to build molecules, you will need atoms from different elements or the same elements. Just like alphabets make up a sentence, atoms make up molecules. Each element is different from the rest.

In this learning space, you will learn about atoms from different elements

Learning Outcomes:

Students will:

  • Identify the constituents of an atom and their location in the atom structure.

  • Identify which atomic constituents are responsible for the atomic mass, atomic number and atomic charge.

  • Use an element symbol to determine the number of each constituent in an atom of that element.

This ILS has was created in line with the learning outcomes of the Nigerian curriculum.
