The ILS is based on a topic covered at Form 4 (Grade 12) Kenyan curriculum. It gives a good chance for the learner to investigate and understand the relationship between the frequency of radiation in photoelectric effect and the corresponding stopping potential. It also gives a chance to engage other variables such as the type of metal surface and the wavelength of radiation as well. Better understanding and application of Einstein's Energy equation is also envisaged.
