Description

This ILS allows students to investigate the relationship between the position of a light source, the size and position of the object and the size of its shadow. Once the lab is completed, the students are asked to get creative and make some shadow art of their own using simple materials. By doing this they may work on mathematical ideas (such as the projection of a shape) or social ideas (such as what messages their shadow art is trying to convey).
