This activity aims to develop students’ understanding of concepts related to sinking and floating and specifically, it prompts them to examine which factors affect the behavior of objects in water. Firstly, a scenario is introduced in which two students need help to complete a set of challenges in a science fair. During the activity, students will formulate hypotheses and research questions and conduct virtual and physical experiments to identify why some objects sink and some objects float.
