This Inquiry Learning Space starts with a motivation phase where students will discover a little more about earthquakes and what causes them. Then it evolves to the study of waves, and the relations between frequency, wavelenght, períod, amplitude and velocity of a wave. They will put some hypotheses and test them using the Phet lab Wave on a String. At the end they should be able to know the properties of the waves and explain the differences between the different seismic waves.

It entends to be an interdisciplinary ILS, between Geology and Physics.
