Description
Remote experiment for determining the static voltage / current characteristic of 4 different types of semiconductor diodes germanium, silicon, red LED and 3.3V Zener diode. Characteristic diode voltage is determined from static voltage / current characteristic as voltage where diode conduction starts. For germanium, silicon and LED diode, the characteristic diode voltage is a voltage drop on directly polarized diode. For Zener diode, the characteristic voltage is a voltage drop of reversely polarized Zener diode. Value of the voltage drop is a physical characteristic of the certain semiconductor diode type.
