Description

In this lab students can investigate the wave behavior of quantum particles. The simulation allows students to change different settings of the slits or barrier, visualize the interference pattern and the individual detection of particles through a detector, see the probability profiles of the wave function in two dimensions, and visualize the real and imaginary parts of the wave function. Additionally, particles can be emitted in three different modes: 1) in a continuous stream of many particles, 2) one by one and 3) one by one being shot repeatedly and accelerated. In this last mode, it is possible to see the buildup of an interference pattern on the detector in only a few minutes.

This lab can also be configured to run in collaboration mode. To enable collaboration, add the Collaboration Tool to the ILS in Graasp.
