Description
The aim of this experiment, which is important as an introduction to quantum physics, is to understand the wave properties of the electron postulated by de Broglie as well as to model solid-state crystal structures microscopically. For this purpose, a "classic" experiment in wave optics (light scattering at objects such as slits or multiple slits) was modified so that electrons are scattered on a thin graphite film.
