Each of us is using several electronic apparates in every day life which are mainly controlled by complex electronics. We would like to teach a deeper understanding about these electronic elements by this remote experiment in which voltage-current characteristics are produced and later on determined.

The semiconductor technology is using more or less complex electronics which are built up by simple electronic elements and which will be studied here. The basic theoretical background of these simple electronic devices and their proper use in electronic circuts will be described too. The following semiconductor elements were chosen: diode, light emitting diode, Schottky diode, Zener diode, transistor, MOSFET and thyristor.
